Rhyme Time with Simon

Find rhyming friends, finish a little rhyme, and make up one of your own.

  1. Say snow, light, and play aloud. Find each word’s rhyming friend from day, glow, and bright. Draw lines on the printable or say the pairs together.
  2. Finish this rhyme: A smile can brighten up the day. Come, my friend, let’s ____. Try a word that rhymes with day.
  3. Choose two rhyming words. Say or write a silly two-line rhyme of your own.
A little help for grown-ups

The pairs are snow / glow, light / bright, and play / day. One answer to the unfinished rhyme is play.

Here is an example of a new rhyme: We make some room for friends to play. A little kindness fills our day. Have fun trying other rhyming words, too.
